Instead of a punchline-filled sendup, Ferrell and Reilly (sorta) faithfully recreate David Bowie and Bing Crosby’s “The Little Drummer Boy / Peace On Earth.” It’s mostly word-for-word, and outside the ending looks mostly shot-for-shot, but somehow their hammy mugging and makeup turn the holiday favorite into something filled with unexpected tension (sexual or otherwise).
