My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy only came out two months ago, but Kanye West has been busy prepping the release of Watch The Throne out in “two months,” according to his Twitter, and his next solo album, out this summer. Also according to West’s Twitter stream, his production will be more complex on both Watch The Throne and the solo record — at least that’s what he’s implying with Tweets like “THIS IS HIGH END RAP MUSIC” and “I just threw some bassoon on this muthafucka.” West also says the video for “All Of The Lights” should be out next week. Who said “You should always leave them wanting more?” Not West. Definitely not West.

This is EXACTLY why MBDTF will be a forgotten memory in a year from now. All those accolades from the web, critics and the music industry in general – though somewhat deserved – jumped the gun BIG TIME with the legacy of this album and how it, or it WILL, change the game forever. It IS a great album but hip-hop, musically, and the culture has been changing so much since Kanye coincidently stepped into the game that not ONE album can define it. I mean Kanye himself, with his music, is apart of that too. I remember when Graduation came out and all the buzz about it being his best album, the best hip-hop album – commercially speaking – and the most pop a hip-hop album can get (not to mention how big of a deal the Daft Punk sample was and how THAT was a supposed game-changer) but do you hear anything from Graduation on the radio anymore, or here online? Hip-hop is too prolific, too evolving right now for one album or one artist to be responsible for it.
Can’t wait to hear that muthafuckin’ bassoon.

Boss. Cant wait. i dont know if im more pumped for Watch the Throne or the new LP…. i just hope he doesnt rush the LP and end up with a shitty egotistical album that will ruin his career…
