The glittery Ouija Board in this Warren Fischer-directed video for CREEP’s debut single “Days” offers a great central image for the duo of Lauren Flax and Lauren Dillard, the New Yorkers who coined”rape gaze” then quashed it: Their sound’s midnight dark (upside down cross, hoods, blood, gags, spooky forest, levitation, Victorian mansion), but also nightclub polished (disco prismatics, strobes, glitter rainstorm, Fischerspooner association). Guest vocals by the xx’s Romy Madley Croft work both angles.

I really liked both the song and the video. Ignoring the whole “rape gaze” schtick and the fact that Witch House is just a fad, this sounds great and I’m curious to see what else these two ladies can do.
Loved the song. The video’s pretty good too. Matches the song and all.
