When we talked about Dave Sitek’s remix of “I Follow Rivers,” I said it paled in comparison to the original which had a sparer arrangement and a “swaggering pulse.” A pulse that got considerably more swag via this redo by Odd Future wide-eyed visionary Tyler, The Creator. The Bastard-styled weirdo synth production backs up Lykke’s bits, with a Tyler verse dropped in the midst of it, all watery metaphors and not drowning when he comes (spelled in the family friendly manner). Golf Wang shoutout in there, too, as is the custom:

Compare to the original if you please.

The remix is dope !!! ..
but to be honest , the original song is far more good and belliveble. to make a remix of it dose’nt make it better , if you ask me.
This is so bad. Leave Lykke alone!
I’m so agree ! .. She just came out with a new single , how does he expect it to be dope with a remix `??? not even Kanye West can make good remix out of it -
she personally asked Tyler to do a remix, because she knows the kid got swag.
^^^I agree, on tumblr they said she asked him to do it, which is saying something. I am a huge fan of both and I personally like tyler’s remix better…but lykke’s fan fase is so diverse I can understan how some cannot appriciate it, Tyler definitely isnt for everyone.
