When Weston Currie directed honest Abe Vigoda in “Skeleton,” he had them resembling zombie mimes stuck in a pitch-black enclosure. This time, for Reviver‘s topsy-turvy SY-guitar rouser “Don’t Lie,” we catch the post-Reggie band hitting the road with open windows and their hair in the breeze sans face paint. Now and again the footage is overlaid with stars/outerspace because singing along to a favorite song in a vintage car with your bros is universal. And because the sky and clouds play a role in the lyrics, probably.

The Reviver EP is out via PPM.

  1. I saw them open for No Age in January at The Smell. I was impressed. They put on a good show. Dig this video, too. Never can do wrong with some desert cacti in the mix.

  3. I just wrote about how everyones going overboard with lo-fi and noise on my blog. I dig Abe Vigoda, but there are so many crap lo-fi bands out right now. I guess there are tons of crap bands for even genre though. anyway if anyone wants to check out my blog its rebuilding-year.blogspot.com . I feel bad spamming like this but I only did it because my most recent post relates to Kane and Dustin G’s comments. Anyway me and my friend started the blog to hopefully help out the Boston/Cambridge music scene so check if out if you’re interested. We encourage commenting!
