The second video from UNKLE’s third album War Stories spins a claustro, soft-focused tale of creepy, stairwell-to-sidewalk dragging obsession. James Lavelle vocalizes about need and hand holding, being led/leading over a creepy trash-groove until the guitars stretch their legs and you realize the kids just needed to get the hell out of the city awhile.

That taut, edgy mood follows nicely in the vein of the nail-biting, Kafkaesque video for “Burn My Shadow,” the Ian Astbury-fronted first single with explosive toast and ER‘s Goran Visnjic. Keeping the concepts high.

The “Hold My Hand” single is out 10/22 and War Stories is out now, both via Surrender All.

I love Unkle, huge fan, love the new album… this video is unfortunately a waste of time. Especially from a band that has put out video after video of amazing stuff.
