Have you checked out Jim Derogatis’ new book Kill Your Idols? Basically, it’s Gen X & Y music writers who take another (read:negative) look at some of rocks “classic” albums. The reason I bring it up is the first couple reviews are about Sgt Pepper, Pet Sounds and Smile.
It’s a good read.
I’ll check it out. There’s a column like that in Uncut every month and it always makes me angry.
