The bouncy-then-snake-sacrificing pop of “Ex-Guru,” from the Fiery ones’ latest LP Widow City, sees the Friedberger sibs frolicking in a sylvian setting. In describing the tune, FF said “”the loud guitar-drums-and-Chamberlin ‘thunderstorm’ part towards the end … indicates the thunderstorm brought about by the jilted ex-guru,” but all we get are odd faces carved into tree trunks, extreme eyeball closeups, and a tight shot of a cute pussy.
