The first CMJ day parties start in roughly three hours. We excite. So New Young Pony Club’s laundry chucking post-punk clip’s a good way to start the day. No “Ice Cream,” but it’s a fun one. Plus there’s a stop-motion blood-spilling scene that reminds of Grizzly Bear’s “Central And Remote” at about 2:35 in, with a woman laid out like we expect to be come Sunday.

Fantastic Playground is out now on Modular. NYPC has a CMJ show at Studio B on 10/18.

LOL stereogum on the hype, as usual.

im not saying nypc are bad, it’s just funny that stereogum is getting around to blogging about them NOW, as this is their first NYPC tagged post ever.

I was sure I’d seen another NYPC post on here, before. Oh well. Not much to see. I love the band, though. I just hope they release some new material soon, since their debut album was comprised of, mostly, old songs.
