Keep your eyes peeled for Lissy product plugs, evidence of coffee addiction, an “I Hate The Whole Thing” t-shirt, Chloë Sevigny (Lissy modeled her Opening Ceremony clothing line), and various other Downtown denizens. McCombs works as a photographer and this feels like one of her (or Ryan McGinley’s) stills come to life.

am i too old to get it or something? this is just so boring to me. it’s boring sung by a cute girl. i don’t understand why magazines are falling all over themselves to claim this girl as the next big thing when she’s so boring. im so bored, my internal thesaurus is broken so i can’t find another word to describe her boring shtick. wait… i’ve been abroad for two months, in my absence did brooklyn decide to bore the shit out of the rest of the world?

yeah ive seen her live. not a good singer, guitar player, songwriter, no stage presence, but shes good looking and therefore has that “new york cool” that people love so much

i don’t think she’s boring at all. i think you guys got a little out of hand. this song isn’t one of the most exciting songs she has but its definitely NOT boring. try listening to some of her other songs before judging so hard. listen to “money” and “self-taught learner.”
i actually really really like her and think that she has an interesting voice, in a new way.
I’m a fan of lissys already and think this video is a perfect first video for a new band.
Not to high concept, catchy song, shot really well and presents her doing what she does…which happens to be pretty mundane stuff…but none the less she looks cool doing it
I saw her live in Madison a few months ago. She was wholly uninterested in being there and it seemed like she couldn’t care less that we all braved the bitter cold on a Tuesday night to see her play. Not sure I’ll care to bother with her again.
I’ve seen her in NY a few times and think shes awesome! video is cool but the EP is real solid. I think she has a lot of potential.
