Wilco did it at Wrigley field in 2008, and now Arcade Fire’s tackled “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” for the Cubs. Members Will Butler and Marika Shaw did the honors Saturday night, singing and swaying to get the crowd into the song during the seventh inning stretch. Watch it at the MLB website, and check out some other band/baseball combos below:

oh c’mon, that’s not arcade fire. probably the two most useless members in the band i can think of. imagine these two performing AF songs w/ out win or regine etc etc etc? it’d be a sad joke.
let’s hear it for useless violin parts and silly climbing on the scaffolding theatrics.
Dog, don’t you think that’s a bit harsh? Marika and Will are just as important as Win and Regine and the others—there definitely not useless; each member (touring members too) holds an important place in the band. Was I was disappointed when I found out it was just them? Yes. I hoped it was the whole group, but hey, at least we got a little something.
