Chris Kattan (SNL‘s most annoying cast member ever) is having a pretty shitty week. First he was fired from The Frogs for sucking and now Newsweek is questioning his sexuality…

Newsweek: You dated Chris Kattan. I thought he was gay.
Jennifer Coolidge: I think he made a mistake by doing a lot of gay characters on SNL. People thought he was the characters he was playing. When I was with him was a very hetero guy — a very sort of horny young guy.

Speaking of gay, Robby Sheffield wrote a great piece for The Voice about Franz Ferdinand’s unlikely homoerotic hit.

    i remember in that 2 hour Biography episode that A&E did for SNL a few years ago, Kattan does a sitdown interview where he talks about being afraid he’ll be typecast as the gay guy for the rest of his career.

    Rob Sheffield’s piece was a good read and when he said that the template for FF’s sound is Blondie a lightbulb when off over my wee little brain. I can totally see that when i hear FF and I recall the more alt rock disco-eee-ness of Blondie in their latter albums.

    oh, it’s a good thing i don’t think jennifer coolidge is the uber-lesbian. yeah maybe it was only in “best in show” but i’m sorry, after hearing her murmur, “you look like the fourth of july; i want a hot dog real bad” in “legally blonde 2,” i will forever consider her a lesbicon.
