Rave-On-Buddy-Holly

Last week you heard The Black Keys’ contribution to this upcoming Buddy Holly tribute album. Now Consequence Of Sound points out that Liza Richardson played Modest Mouse’s cover of “That’ll Be The Day” on her KCRW show May 7. It’s very different from the original, but the line, “That’ll be the day that I die” is a threat that could fit into any Modest Mouse song. And it definitely sounds like a threat coming from Isaac Brock’s mouth. Listen at KCRW (fast forward to minute six).
