Crystal Stilts’ “Prismatic Room” video featured grainy footage of the band hanging out alone and with friends. For the upbeat post-Alight Of Night stomper “Love Is A Wave,” the mood’s set via a collage of grainy (and less-than-grainy) found images, some familiar and some less so: Monkeys at the beach, hippies smoking up, fire breathing dragons, surfers riding waves, the Roadrunner doing the things the Roadrunner does, cartoon “wow”‘s, and fireworks. Fittingly, they included various types of dancers.

Right, for your own rug cutting:

“Love Is A Wave” b/w “Sugar Baby” is out via Slumberland.

  2. I love the dizzy, whirlwind fun of the vid and song. Just like a new romance. One of my favorite songs of 2009 (so far).

  3. This video, this song, and this band are too cool.

Concept (and several shots) surprisingly similar to These United States’ video for “Get Yourself Home.”

One of the better Stilts tunes.. they could have done with this on the album.

  6. Dear Crystal Stilts,

Please make more songs like this one and “Crystal Stilts”. Most of your other songs make my head want to hit the desk in a rapid motion and go to sleep.

    Great song. Terrible dancing.

The dance scene that the still is from was also used in the Wooden Shjips’ video for “Dance, California.” Both videos are great.
