What better way to unveil your new music service than to hire old guys to soundtrack its launch? Just kidding. But, as you may have heard, the reborn Jane’s Addiction did indeed handle the entertainment section of yesterday’s Google I/O Developer Conference in San Francisco. The event was private, though it existed last night, starting at 10:30PM, as a free stream. If you missed it, no worries: Google’s posted the entire 42-minute set, captured via multiple cameras, and complete with that time-tested Ritual de lo Habitual opening. (As expected, no Dave Sitek.) They sounded good. And check out the sea of nerds capturing the moment by hiding behind their electronic devices of choice:

  1. Now I remember… Dave Navarro used to kick much ass, before he was all about the reality show and porn awards hosting.

  2. I watched this last night. I thought the band sounded good. I’m digging that new track, End To The Lies more and more. Happy to see they are performing new songs… hoping the new album is gonna be rad. Keeping my fingers crossed. :)
