This uncomfortable video combines parts 1 & 2 of James Blake’s “Lindisfarne” suite to tell a story about friends making some sort of ritual or pact with each other. (Lindisfarne is a tiny English island with a population of under 200 residents.) Director Martin de Thurah also helmed Blake’s video for “The Limit To Your Love.” Watch the clip below:
James Blake is out now via Atlas/A&M.

Yep, that’s kinda what crazy is like, when your imaginary friends leave you at the bus stop to the real world. This is a love song to all the crazies in high school.
I think it’s more like the insane rituals of adolescence and then leaving all those crazies behind when you grow-up or leave town. Some of those close friends who shared the crazy with you become stuck in the town, beaten but it’s kind of romantic? Nostalgic?
I liked the beat, it’s a grower.
Reminded me of something I’d see on British Skins.
Grr, this kid is starting to annoy me. He’s the UK Justin Vernon, only too young, right? Also I wish he’d be more forthcoming that “Limit To Your Love” is a Feist song. Or maybe it’s the press that’s remiss in mentioning it? I dunno. Sorry, this curmudgeon will probably skip his ACL Fest set unless I can be convinced otherwise.
1. This is his only song that really sounds like a “Bon Iver” song.
2. Everyone knows that “Limit To Your Love” is a Feist cover.
