uh just wanted to say that ashlee simpson doesn’t deserve to be famous. jessica has an amazing talent- watch VH1′s driven. ashlee didnt have to work for her fame. i honestly have more respect for hilary duff than for ashlee, cause hilary at least got herself noticed, she didnt feed off her sisters fame (much like haylie duff tried to do, but nobody likes her very much.) i think ashlee should live it up, because not many people get money and fame just handed to them. oh yeah and she gives brunettes a bad name.

Ok, I knew I was going to hate Ashlee Simpson the day I saw her. What I hate most about her is her image. Here she is ranting on about how she doesn’t want to be like her sister or Hilary Duff and she doesn’t want to be a goodie goodie. First thing, why does she make POP songs???? I bought the CD for my four year old daughter who loves the song Pieces of me. This is the same little girl who loves the Black Eyed Peas and Revrend Horton Heat…..Although the song is catchy, I do not care for her voice, but my baby does, so I let her listen and just hope that she will develop better taste in music. Although she is on the right track with the other two.
I’m surprised that so many of the people who posted on here focus (and base their opinions of Ashlee) on the fact that they think Ashlee is ugly. Imperfection is Beauty, and I for one think she’s a pretty girl. Does it really matter that she has dyed her hair? Probably more than half of the American population does. However, I am classically trained in voice, and can say that it irritates the hell out of me when singers have bad voices – scratchy, breathy, etc. If they’re so rich, why not invest in some voice lessons? Oh, that’s right, because they’re already famous and don’t think they need it. It also irks me that if a person has the right connections, a pretty face and a mediocre voice, that they can become famous. Why, oh why, can’t it still be solely based on talent and passion for the music? I mean, a person should have good public relations too, but that should be secondary. Oh, well, I am wishing for Utopia.

I don’t care about looks, but every time I hear her sing live it totally sucks. The girl can’t carry a tune very well. Should/would we ever judge Kurt Cobain, Janice Joplin, or any other SERIOUS ARTIST by there looks? No. So by default she is not a artist she is not a singer she is a entertainer. Sammy Davis Junior – That Man was talented he could sing he could dance and he would never do a show with taped music/vocals
Janet Jackson – Can sing can dance can do everything ( and ignore the SUper bowl shit)
Michael Jackson – Probably the most amazing entertainer of the 20th century, ignoring his personal life no one can match his sheer artistry talent and skill.
Now lets look at Ashlee Simpson or even her sister:
- They may or may not be good looking depending on your taste
- There singing is very very very questioable I think the SNL fiasco proved that.
- There music is questionable lets face it Jessica has not had any amazing hits mist of her songs are remakes of older standards like Take My Breath away, and what major concert has she played?
