We’re doing the first Stateside show with Danish punks Iceage at L Magazine’s 2011 Northside Festival (a night also featuring Prurient’s first NYC show in over two years). Of course, outside that, there are (more than) plenty of noteworthy showcases and sets to catch: Beiruit (outdoors), Atlas Sound, Twin Sister, Guided By Voices (with Wavves and Surfer Blood), Laurel Halo, Mount Eerie, YACHT, and dozens of others are making appearances. The festival takes place 6/16-19 at various Brooklyn venues. If you’re in the area, and love music, you’ll want to attend. To make things easier, we have a few Northside-related prizes to give away: A Grand Prize of a pair of “Golden Tickets” plus Runner Up prizes featuring festival passes and tickets to specific shows. Here’s how it breaks down:
