Scotty McCreery won at the end of last night’s American Idol finale. Before they announced the winners, the drawn-out show show featured performances from Lady Gaga, BeyoncĂ©, and Bono and The Edge, who played “Rise Above” with Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark star Reeve Carney. Carney and Bono traded vocals while a stuntman did flips over the audience. (Carney was a few commenters’ pick to play Jeff Buckley in his upcoming biopic.) See if he has the voice for it:

Really enjoyed this song just now, it was the only good part of last night’s show. :)

That Spiderman song is the last nail in the coffin in my relationship with U2. I can’t take any more mediocrity from a once great band.
Brother Reeve might just have the look and chops for the Buckley part.
Next year. Idol finale. Reeve Carney – Lilac Wine.
Sure thing, dawg.
