As mentioned when posting Virginia heavy rock/metal doom legends Pentagram’s “8” from their comeback ninth studio album Last Rites, the guys are in better form than you’d expect from a band celebrating its 40th anniversary (and with so many tales of debauch associated with their charismatic frontman). The album’s the first since 1994′s Be Forewarned to find longtime guitarist Victor Griffin, who plays/writes on all the early records, working with that vocalist/signature demon-chasing member Bobby Liebling. They’ll also be on tour together in August, a tour Haunting The Chapel‘s presenting. The guys are joined for the dates by JEFF The Brotherhood and Valient Thorr. If you blew your concert money on pot, no worries: We’re giving away a couple of pairs of tickets to the date of your choice. Check those dates above.
