Over the past year and change, onetime bedroom BTW Throw Me The Statue expanded from Scott Reitherman and his many instruments to Scott Reitherman and his friends and everyone’s various instruments. Following the recent Purpleface EP, the band’s releasing their second proper full-length, the self and Phil Ek-produced Creaturesque in August. Lead track “Ancestors” finds Reitherman in a contemplative mode. It’s reminiscent of a lot of old-time indie rock, making me think of different aspects of Butterglory for the second time in a month.

Nice pool:

Creaturesque is out 8/4 via Secretly Canadian. The songs you’ll find on it:

01 “Waving At The Shore”
02 “Pistols”
03 “Tag”
04 “Ancestors”
05 “Noises”
06 “Snowshoes”
07 “Dizzy From The Fall”
08 “Cannibal Rays”
09 “Hi-Fi Goon”
10 “Baby, You’re Bored”
11 “Shade For A Shadow”
12 “The Outer Folds”

Nice. Moonbeams was absolutely excellent, though very overlooked by most. This song is pretty good!
