You have a couple of MP3s from the Vampire Weekend/Ra Ra Riot electro-pop side project, and Rostam & Wes have kindly put up two more to stream on their site. Good summer album, and wait until you hear “I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend” with Angel Deradoorian. Such a jam.

…it’s not on the site? Has the album been leaked?

They have sent out the advance copies and believe me it is good…it does not let up through the entire album. So good…perfect summer album!

This album blows goats. I can’t make it through 3 tracks on this piece of shit. For those smitten with it, get a q-tip and clean out those ears, I’m grateful I got it for free.

The only thing that I really did not care for was the cover of “I want you back” by the Jackson 5.

  10. Quit your braggin’ about advance copies and post a link, bitches!

this was intended to be a one-off release, and it sounds like it. “Orange Shirt” is by far the best track, “I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend” is indeed a jam, and Ezra Koenig’s vocals on “Carby” are surprisingly great. But did they really have to violate “I Want You Back”? Their autotune-drenched cover is almost unlistenable. Overall, a silly, breezily enjoyable summer record.

  12. Deradoorian is the new Feist.

Wow. I enjoyed that way more than I should have. “Orange Shirt” is actually the weakest of the songs I heard. “Osaka Loop Line” was just awesome and “So Insane” was fun in a kitschy Human League sort of way.
