When Justin Vernon appeared on Jimmy Fallon earlier this month he threw a curve ball called “I Can’t Make You Love Me,” the Bonnie Raitt (etc.) homage not all of you loved. A day after visiting Colbert he returned to Fallon with Colin Stetson & Co. — to celebrate topping our Top 20 Albums Of 2011 So Far list, obviously — and played it altogether straighter with one of Bon Iver‘s standouts, “Holocene.” Weep openly:
