I’ve been sort of obsessed with Animal Collective lately. Watch their very first video here. Buy their great CD Sung Tongs here.

  1. stereogum has a thing for furries? who knew?

  2. holy crap that’s… amazing? scary? both? super weird and good.

  3. I’m absolutely obsessed with “Sung Tongs,” and have been for the past month. It’s unhealthy. “We Tigers” is primal instinct at its best. And “College” is my new life philosophy.

If this easter bunny came hopping up to my house, I’d be calling 911!

  5. Sung Tongs is excellent, no doubt.

  6. Very cool song and video- I love the upfront acoustic guitar and the manic feel. Someone contact Wes Anderson pronto, I think this song has to be in one of his movies.

  7. THE MARBLED FAWN is a beast who traipses in an eternal spring. Another ancient companion of Whimsy’s, his gifts of levity and hilarity have strained the bladders throughout most of the Mid-Atlantic states. The Marbled Fawn does not see what you see, hear what you hear, feel what you feel; for you see, his heart was wounded at birth by the Gods of Joy, who in their wisdom, placed in his heart a splinter of wood from the tree that witnessed the first golden dawn on our Earth, conferring it’s mortal sheath with an eternal youth. He does not know this fact, yet others see this gift-curse as he approaches, for his is a most hale yet lunar appearance. Those who kiss him have their sexual preferences reversed, so be sure to be kissed twice. His tongue never grew from the size it was when he was born, which is why he espouses such childlike wisdom from his lips. He harbors a violent prejudice against Virgos, and, once his keen sense of smell has found his quarry, will attempt to eat them on sight. Most species of crabs will do his bidding, when summoned by his series of squeaks and yawps. He would like to see frottage against furniture to become an Olympic event, as he would bring home the silver, at the very least. He has fluid-filled cavities in his back that can keep a small fish alive for hours, if need be. He paints his hooves in a Pennsylvania Dutch motif which he has seen on bags of pretzels. For this reason most of all, I miss my little fawn.
