There’s a playful swing and groovy tunefulness at the core of Black Moth Super Rainbow’s psychedelic happy-jam “Twin Of Myself,” which makes it as perfect a BMSR song as any for this unlikely remix from UK party-starting genre benders, the Go! Team. There isn’t too much manipulated, actually — the Go! Team remix retains the root movement and builds around Tobacco’s vocodored vocal pleasantries — but the beat’s made a bit more purposefully danceable, and the pastoral wind accents split the difference between Black Moth’s backwoods stoner appeal and the Go! Team’s ’70s stoner appeal. Maybe not so unlikely after all.
