From the title track down, Yours Truly, The Commuter finds ex-Grandaddy Jason Lytle focused on work and the folks who do it. For instance, his last video, the arresting General Assembly-directed “I Am Lost (And the Moment Cannot Last),” found a bunch of working people taking a brief break in the moments before a still unprocessed, oncoming disaster. Thankfully, the playful “It’s The Weekend” gives us a bit more time off from the rat race and the sadness. It also shows us what Jason Lytle does on the weekend: He washes his car. In record time.

OK, that sucked.
If I wanted to see a 30 something guy wash his car as the highlight of his weekend I would just daydream about my last weekend.
He’s 30. So what?
Well then…I think he had about another minute left on his 8 quarters. Maybe then he could have gotten the rest of the soap off his car!
BEST WEEKEND EVAR
i totally need to take notes. GREAT TECHNIQUE!
That was the GREATEST VIDEO EVER. I have a subcompact and can’t finish washing the whole thing in the time they give at those places. He did a WHOLE minivan – that’s totally amazing!
Bozeman, MT plates!!!!! Awesome!
that was strangely entertaining.
Yes, the soap, man. Gotta get all the soap.
The lyrics ain’t much but the music is fun.
