Secretly Canadian-signed songwriter Dave Fischoff, whose solo material draws upon the likes of Beach Boys and Burt Bacharach, wrote this weekend to inform us of a new project he’s launched in an effort to work more collaboratively, as remixer and going by the name Spoolwork. His first commission is an auspicious one, working with the world-renowned Jens Lekman – “I’m Leaving You Because I Don’t Love You (Spoolwork Remix)” (MP3)

Keep your eyes on Spoolwork’s MySpace for more of his remixes. Jens’s Night Falls Over Kortedala is out via Secretly Canadian.

  1. ?Holy fu_k, a Fishcoff mention!! That guy is just amazing – and we may as well speak of Havergal too while we’re at it. F_ck – the old SC roster is a mine of pure beauty.. . Drunk [band], anyone??

  2. Nice remix, but isn’t this new Spoolwork not new Jens Lekman? Jens didn’t create anything new in this recording.
