Wilco spent a whole lot of last night on the Late Show With David Letterman set. The band served as musical guests on last night’s episode, playing their relentlessly pleasant new single “Born Alone” and gaining a pretty enthusiastic endorsement from Letterman himself. And in the Ed Sullivan Theater, the band also played a full hour-long set as an online-only Live On Letterman session. They sounded strong on both; as a dad, I’m pretty much duty-bound to like this stuff. We’ve got both the “Born Alone” performance and the full session below.
Wilco’s new album The Whole Love is out 9/27 on their own dBpm label.

There’s something about this mix that doesn’t work. Maybe its because the drums are kinda hard to hear
Nels Cline probably just goes into guitar center and says “Yeah Im gonna need all of this”
Yeah, drums are pretty hard to hear, seeing as they’re drums and all. Not a huge Wilco fan, but this is probably one of the best mixed sessions of music I have ever heard, even prompting me to log into this rarely used account and call you an idiot. Idiot.
