Languid New Jersey dream-poppers Real Estate will release Days, their sophomore album, in a few weeks. We’ve already posted one track from it, “It’s Real,” and now here’s another. “Green Aisles” shows that the band’s laid-back guitar interplay gets more confident all the time. It’s a keeper. Listen below.
Days is out 10/11 on Domino. And if you haven’t heard Real Estate’s take on the Strokes’ “Barely Legal” from our tribute album STROKED, you’ve got a treat in store.

I’m enjoying everything off this album I’ve heard so far. It’s amazing how they take the beachcomber sound and still make it sound fitting for autumn. Also, a head’s up to cassette junkies: Domino is releasing it on tape on top of the regular LP / digital and CD formats.
My aunt works for a real estate company called Charles Greenthal. When I saw this album cover I thought it looked familiar…

Amazing find and good eye!
still don’t understand how anyone could actually be excited by this band.
Ah, I remember life before I smoked weed.
But no really I just saw them again and it only further validated their level of legitimacy as a band for me. I could see them sounding too “vague” or washed-out to some, but I think their songs showcase a refreshing level of musicality for such a young band. Like Beach Fossils, they really intelligently interlock guitar & bass riffs to create that jangly, shimmering quality, but they also know how to craft great songs out of this sound. Tight rhythmic changes, interesting chord progressions, and now stronger hooks. Love love love this band.
You seem like a really miserable guy, I don’t understand what gives you any enjoyment out of life.
it’s really easy if you are into their tunes. which lots of us are.
Brings me back to the ’90s with Mojave 3, Red House Painters, etc…
I love just hanging out, going where the whims and resources of the moment take me. I love Real Estate for (more than anything else) relating to me and other carefree drifters out there–even if I can only relive the moments in my head.
