Vancouver fuzz-rock duo Japandroids may just have a fistful of new songs. Earlier this month, we posted live footage of them playing the new track “Adrenaline Nightshift.” And at the Pop Montreal festival last week, they also busted out the energetic new one “Fire’s Highway,” which has some great whoa-oaaaah action. Watch the video below.

At the FYF Fest, they mentioned quite a few times that the new songs they were going to play were all on their new album, so I think it’s a safe bet to say LP 2 is in the can and may just be patiently awaiting a scheduled release date. I hope Polyvinyl hurries up with that, because these new songs are incredibly easy to get into even without hearing the studio recordings first.
