Interpol frontman Paul Banks’ Julian Plenti Is… Skyscraper came out a couple of days ago. In the official Javier Aguilera-directed video for his post-punk “Games For Days,” Banks plays two characters. The dark Paul teams up with Metric’s Emily Haines — the two get cozy, whip out the handcuffs, and trash a hotel room together — while the white-clad Paul’s left to find and bum about the aftermath.

Garth Brooks sounds different this time. Is he ever going to get that movie made?
i still cant figure out what makes haines soo damn hot. The video is really well done but i feel like it doesnt quite fit with the vibe of the song.
Who should I pick the cool bad guy or the one who’s on his way to a Florida retirement condo? Decisions, decisions…
Disagree with roofy. The song gives an edgy, dark and adventurous feeling. And they nailed that with this pretty cool video.
Gotta say that “Skyscraper” is very decent. Way better than OLTA.
“Shake me, shake me… skyscraper”
Hotel Waverly is a dump – spent a month there one night.
What? you spent a month there one night?
figure of speech, my good boy
sorry never heard it, maybe its before my time
looks like it was filmed at the Waverly Hotel in Toronto which would make sense as to why Emily was in the video.
oooh that vid is pure sex appeal…very well done i agree
i would blindly say this sucks except for the fact that it doesn’t and the record is better than interpol’s last two
i agree with the Our love to admire.. but Antics is awesome
this is soo fucking good!! :D
the song is great and the video is cool too
:D :D
That’s hot.
Really good video in a time where everybody seems to care less and less for quality music video. And great album as well (also: Amazon.com has an offer on the downloadable album, 3 bucks and something for the whole thing!).
It’s great to hear Plenti not weighted down by his limited band.
omg that was just so hot, wow, im all a bother….not
fucking puhhhlease, that is some middle of the road bollocks. paul banks is the indie kid rock. shave the rat hair, you giant douche drinker…
horrid
dude, smoking cigs is cool
smoking and chewing gum at the same time is not cool. on the other hand, i think that this video is much cooler than the song itself. it’s simple and pleasing to the eye and it’s different to see an indie rocker mustering a bit of swagger and machismo.
“Hi is there a “indie” camera crew anywhere? Please film me…look at me!!!!”
-Emily Haines
Kindly see yourself out.
I’m going to biologically find a way to have Emily’s babies. Unless she’s not into babies, in which case we’ll get along even better.
Speechless
Reminds me of Rammstein videos.
Am I the only one profoundly disappointed that Emily didn’t play a part in the vocals? I feel cheated.
After having watched the music video (with the volume down)… I feel like I just watched a preview of next weeks Cold Case episode.
