So far no there’s no Wall Of Ice EP, but Radiohead’s confirmed that “These Are My Twisted Words” is a new track and have given it a proper release. That’s the official, suitably icy “tracing paper” artwork by Donwood and Tchock. Jonny offers some background on the song and a few words about the future:

Via Dead Air Space:

So here’s a new song, called ‘These Are My Twisted Words’.

We’ve been recording for a while, and this was one of the first we finished. We’re pretty proud of it.

There’s other stuff in various states of completion, but this is one we’ve been practicing, and which we’ll probably play at this summer’s concerts. Hope you like it.

Until then, there’s a free track download complete with the artwork and some credits here (.zip) via w.a.s.t.e or a torrent at Mininova.

http://www.wallofice.com now has a message from Radiohead, they’re pissed at people making up the Wall of Ice EP. At least, you assume it’s from Radiohead…

    • I didn’t assume that at all! And yeah, very cool of them to release something when they finish it. Ushering in a new era of the music business!

    • I doubt that’s from Radiohead. It’s probably from the guy who owns the domain, who most likely has nothing to do with the band. (i.e. perhaps his site was hacked?)

That being said… 1. very cool of them to release a new song for free, and 2. someone in Radiohead’s camp is a crazy brilliant marketing genius.

wallofice.com was made by some douche. Not Radiohead.

Really cool of them to finish some thing and release it immediately.

  3. It was pretty hilarious how the whole internet got so worked up about an EP that doesn’t even exist. Still, the first thing I did when I got on my computer this morning was see if Wall of Ice was available.

I don’t think thatsite is from Radiohead… is it? For reals, we KNOW anything? Damn Thom Yorke, is making me go crazy!

More meandering tuneless tunes from rock star millionaire miserablists, radiohead…yea….

  6. A world in which the internet loses it’s shit every time Thom Yorke takes a crap is a dangerous world to live in. That said, the song is alright!

    I’ve heard of world records.

  12. The artwork is called “Twisted Woods”, and consists of 14 panels of black and white tree silhouettes.

    And I’m a Radiohead fan…

    Bandwagon fail.

  15. I can’t believe how people still try to post their albums under false titles…
I downloaded this sh1t thinking it could be some sort of Radiohead material.. maybe live recordings, b-sides, etc… turns out to be the kind of “band” that’s has to prostitute themselves trying to reach for a single fan…
really really sad to have those kind of posts around here…
