The ever-expanding and contracting Toronto quintet Do Make Say Think’s sixth full-length Other Truths is made up of four long tracks, “Do,” “Make,” “Say,” and “Think.” (It’s like taking “self-titled” to the molecular level.) Three go beyond the 10-minute mark — which is where you’ll find opener “Do.” It’s guest vocals are provided by the Lullabye Arkestra. (Elsewhere, Akron/Family lend their pipes to the album.) The piece goes through a number of dynamic ups and downs and passages horned, stringed, synthesized, and otherwise, but a blow-by-blow would diminish its overall power and arc, so just sit down and dig into it.
Other Truths is out 10/20 via Constellation. They’re trekking all over the place:

So good live.
Trying to think of a Damo Suzuki Network joke … wait, it’ll come to me … nah, fuck it.
Excellent track though. Can’t wait to hear more.
wow… what a track! DMST never dissappoints.
Given how many people seem to have trouble listening to songs for more than 30 seconds without moving on in their iTunes library, I love that DMST is still coming out with 10 min songs. Loved Winter Hymn, stoked they are back at it
Splendid! …but where’s the west coast love?
so excited!
love this band. great song.
Couldn’t help but also note that they are playing in Toronto tomorrow!

Wow… I was just reading about the new Built to spill album while listening to this, and for a second I thought i was listening to them :o But then came the trashy guitars at cca 2.30 and there’s no mistaking them :)
totally respect this band and am glad they keep making music, but i don’t know if anything will be able to top the impact the songs off &yet&yet had on me
booooooooooooriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing
come to LA or I’ll shoot myself
simple as that
this is gorgeous. I can’t wait!
it just leaked. it doesn’t sound mastered, but it’s amazing after one listen.
finally got a chance to get through the album and it’s fantastic, rust was mind blowing on it’s own level but this so cohesive and understated, really really fun listen
