Next week the Decemberists are set to release the follow up to last year’s The King Is Dead, and earlier this week we shared the first song from that forthcoming EP, Long Live The King. Since the songs on the new EP are from the same sessions that produced The King Is Dead, they exhibit the rootsy style from that release. Here’s “I 4 U & U 4 Me,” an uptempo cut that lets Colin Meloy and his guitar tell the story.
Long Live The King is out 11/1 on Capitol.

I like it, but still don’t think I’m getting the EP for some reason. I should’ve saved my money with that Live at Bull Moose EP.
