The wiry British jitter-pop duo Field Music have a new album called Plumb dropping early next year, and they’ve shared a track from the LP with the world. It’s called “(I Keep Thinking About) A New Thing,” and it’s the sort of tightly wound, falsetto-flecked, XTC-damaged stuff that the group used to build its name. Stream the track below, and enter an email address into the widget to get a free download.
Plumb is out 2/21 on Memphis Industries.

Can always count on Stereogum to give these guys the love. IMO the most underrated band out there these days. Zeppelin thunder, XTC syncopation and Beatle harmonies. Great new cut too.
love these guys. tones of town was amazing.
