Girls frontman Christopher Owens is a human great-song factory who churns out swoony heartripping nuggets so quickly that he never gets around to recording many of them. About a year ago, the man turned up at a Ryan McGinley photo show and played a quick acoustic set of new songs. One of them, “Saying I Love You,” appeared on Girls’ excellent sophomore album Father, Son, Holy Ghost. The rest are new to these ears. Videos of Owens’s set recently went up online; watch them below.
“Mr. Blue”
“Solitude”
“Saying I Love You”
“Nobody’s Business”
“Key To My Heart”
“End Of The World”
“Cold Again”
“Back To London”
Father, Son, Holy Ghost is out now on True Panther.
