Yesterday Scotland’s most debonair post-punks took Tonight‘s slinky fourth single to the new and mercifully improved Tonight Show. Amrit and I have been playing a game in which we rank how enthusiastically Conan thanks each band after its performance. I know, that IS such a fun game! Sadly this clip cuts out the money shot. Let’s assume he liked it at least half as much as Vampire Weekend.

Franz play the Palladium in Hollywood tonight. UPDATE: We’ve added photos from the show courtesy of Andrew Youssef.

  1. All their songs sound the same.

This is one band that is completely out of ideas. So boring.

  3. I came in at the very end of this performance, and I’d say it was around an 8 out of 10.

  4. That will be the power of talents and passion

always nice to see the Franz, these guys rock

  6. Guessing which superlative Conan is going to use is a bit tricky. You have to factor in a “Yeah!” squeal right after the band ends, or if he shakes hands with every single person on stage, among others.

The last 30 seconds or so of this song just own.

Ewww, what’s with the floppy stringy hair Alex?

Otherwise, top performance…. the end part just RAWKS!

  9. They never disappoint. Tonight is one of the most underrated albums of the year. That and Ocote Soul Sounds’ Coconut Rock; check it out.
