Though music isn’t as location-driven as it once was — which is, you know, sort of the thematic undercurrent of our Area Codes series — Florida-bred psych rockers the Jameses hold it down for their weird, sun-faded state of Florida. While the video for “5th Dimension” is a literal pastiche of Florida culture, the song matches the tone of the imagery, jilting along to a colorfully odd pulse that’s sort of the musical version of a roller coaster climbing the hill.
