Because they put out one of the best albums of the year, we’re going to give Fucked Up a pass for video-encompassing nonchalance in the clip for “Turn The Season.” It was apparently shot during the initial photo session for David Comes To Life, so that explains all the cameras and ballerinas and non-smiles from the band. The weird thing about the story behind this video is that I have yet to see any of the photos that supposedly came from this shoot, and I had to use quite a lot of new promo photos of Fucked Up over the past year.
They use one on the cover of David Comes to Life (behind the actual cover)
I just discovered that when I was opening up the CD case. I should pay more attention to the inserts!
Another reason for the non-smiles might be that , if they did smile, people would just confuse this video with a J.Crew fashion shoot.
This is one of the best songs of the year.
