Nick Cave announced that Grinderman is splitting up at the Meredith Music Festival in Australia. Via The Guardian:
Cave told the 12,000 strong crowd “That’s it for Grinderman. It’s over,” before apparently adding “See you all in another ten years when we’ll be even older and uglier.”
For a bunch of older, weathered rock dudes, they could be pretty ferocious in their bluesy, licksy rock. Salute.

I thought this was old news? He said they were going to break up at the end of their I’ll Be Your Mirror set back in July. Hopefully it means a return to the Bad Seeds before long!

I knew they would break up sooner or later. A man can only go so long without pu$$y. On a serious note, I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that Nick Cave gets more than Prince. I know that Warren Ellis does.
