I don’t think anyone needs to apologize for figuring out what music they like by listening to tracks on a list like this. It’s fun and most people don’t have time to discover music on their own by hanging out at record stores or going to shows several times a week. PS- I never heard Super Bass until today and it isn’t that good. |

Very lengthy read, and good on ‘Gum for getting Billy to carry on with so much info. What really peaked my interest was his detailing of what Oceania sounds like. I’m a sucker for the Pumpkins, so I’ll likely give it a good listen when it arrives. Also, I want a progress report on this “T. Rachel Cole” character. All year, this person has given us Progress Reports, but he / she remains mysterious and elusive. At least with the other four, you have an idea of what they’re all about: Scott – The dad of Stereogum. Kind of dad-rock-ish at times. Short with words when you’ve done something bad, kind of like my dad. |

This is the 3rd or 4th time I have been on here and it has yet to get me laid. I’m starting to wonder what the point is.

I approach my commenting here as I do life: no intention of having sex. It has worked marvelously for me in both not having sex and not making top comments, but I cannot claim this will bring you any more understanding or happiness.
I hope this wins top comment next week, and then a comment on that list tops the top comments list the week after that,. Ad infinitum until Shut Up, Dude just becomes an alternate reality unto itself! (Or does it?)
