Last night, VH1 aired its VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul special, which featured a whole lot of wailing. And one of the wailers present was Florence Welch, who showed up to stunningly whoop her way through a pair of covers: Annie Lennox’s “Walking On Broken Glass” and a truncated version of Amy Winehouse’s “Back To Black.” One thing that sets Florence apart from just about every other indie-identified singer: She does not look the least bit out of place on a show like this one.
