I was reading Spin‘s Jukebox Jury in which Feist, Bobby Moynihan, and Questlove discuss the most notable tracks of the year and here’s Bobby on your second favorite song of 2011, “Holocene”: “This makes me want to walk down a dark hallway with a candle.” LOLOL. Good one, Bobby Moynihan. Speaking of candles (I should call this column This Week’s Best SEGUES), have any of our menorah-lighting readers received good music-related gifts? That’s exactly who I’m talking about, the unthinking sheep who base all their music purchases on whether or not Pitchfork like something, ie if Pitchfork like it, don’t buy it, if Pitchfork hate it, buy it. It’s an attempt to be cool through subversion, take something that’s considered to be “cool” (not that P4K has been for three years but you get the point), aggressively oppose it. |

That chunklet site seems pretty ignorant and quite frankly just lame.
The only people who seem to dedicate so much time to making fun or trying to tear down pitchfork are really the saddest group of ‘indiefags’. Quite frankly im tired of hearing it, this is why i support Capu Flapu’s comment so much.
I for one can read the reviews and enjoy the writing without nerd raging over a disagreement i have in the rating they gave out. If you don’t like the site then go bitch on reddit or something, otherwise suck a dick and stop complaining on stereogum. P4k isn’t this malevolent entity, it a culmination of different writers with different opinions.

I don’t think Régine Chassagne is an annoying woman, because I don’t really know Régine Chassagne. What I do know is that Régine Chassagne should never be allowed to sing ANYTHING, particularly in a live setting. That woman quite possibly has the worst voice I have ever heard by anyone who is being taken serious in their craft. Just awful.
