The rambunctious Seattle electro-pop septet U.S.E. have already released LOVEWORLD on-line, but be out physically the end of next month. The group seems to be very much about physicality: Beyond all those arms and legs, they sing about dancing, partying, loving, and “K.I.S.S.I.N.G.” In this Ben Lashes-directed video it’s clear they also like boating, drinking champagne, riding roller coasters, eating cotton candy, and just generally “having fun.” The day out was captured in the band’s hometown over the July 4th weekend. Grab your vocoder and your sweet tooth.
For your next outdoor adventure:
LOVEWORLD is out 10/20 via Mannheim Worldwide/Rebel Group.

ha this is so rad! represent seattle.
I think you meant, “h.a. t.h.i.s. i.s. s.o. r.a.d.! r.e.p.r.e.s.e.n.t. s.e.a.t.t.l.e.”
Love the rawness. Seems to capture their spirit. I saw them once in San Francisco and they are really nice people.
this commenter is at a loss for words.
i so very much want to enjoy this…but i just don’t. darn it!
Great energy, excellent video – it’s like eating sugar straight out of the packet
I guess I’d call Wilco’s “Pot Kettle Black” the good version of this…whatever that means…every good show needs a theme song…
Super cute, looks fun!
Horrid.
This “K.I.S.S.I.N.G.” is way better:

Yay! More craptastic “musical” tripe for 12-year-olds. Please die from rectal cancer.
seattle should stick to fleet foxes, leave the electro pop to portland.
“Mags” r u serious? Rectal cancer? Its just fucking music. Holy god, worry about important stuff please. And Panda? Portland has a music scene?
Shouldn’t we all reflect on why north western scenes are always a bad idea.
You guys need to get over your ex’es, turn off the hyper-serious folk-”rock” you been crying yourself to sleep to every night, and learn how to have some fun!
This band rocks the party that rocks the party. Put some damn pants on and get over here.
P.S. There’s a keg and a whole bunch of hotties.
are they having fun or trying to look like they’re having fun?
Has it been so long since you’ve had fun that you can’t even tell anymore?
I know a 1-800-Number you can call if you need some help.
People are here for you man.
i liked it. i dont know why i just did.
it is nice to feel llike an earnest middle schooler for three minutes a year, let yourself enjoy it
I can’t get the chorus out of my head…And surprisingly am not that upset about it!
These guys are fantastic!! Having fun and good music, what more could you ask for!!
This video really brightens my day.
this musix BLEEECH
I thought the video was great showing all that Seattle had to offer and seeing the fireworks show at the end. I even saw a firework in the shape of a heart which went really well with the lyrics :) I gotta go time for K.I.S.S.I.N.G.
i may be confused…is this a theme song to an upcoming nickelodeon show about being a tranny in junior high or something? if so, i will not be tuning in…sorry.
If this same song was released by some popular teenage band supported by a major label, Stereogum wouldn’t have given it a second of attention.
Actually, this is one of the most refreshing videos I have seen on here in a long time. Kinda amateur and just focuses on fun, rather than some kind of arty approach. Also, it’s very tongue in cheek. They seem to be giving a fuck you to the pop industry.
I agree w/ Rockface. This is total bliss for a depressed society. Want to see them!
“total bliss for a depressed society” ?
What’s that supposed to mean? I’m one very happy dude but I don’t like every cheesy visionless vocoded cookie cutter pop tune that you put out… I mean I’m sorry, but this song is blows.
Now turn that frown upside down, rainy face! There’s a world of puppies and lollipops out there for us!
Man, there sure are a lot of people in this band…90% of the comments are from members disguised as ‘fans’. all good though.
one thing you need to realize is that they are 100% about good times. you might think thats lame and their music is too sugary-sweet, but thats pretty much their only goal. take it or leave it i guess.
while at some (most) times i feel embarrassed listening to their music, mostly the cheesey lyrics, i can also say that i’ve seen em live probably 6 times over the past 3 years and i don’t think i’ve ever had a better time at show as i do at their’s… consistently. they’ve at least got that going for them!
Ha, O.N.2.U…I fuckin hate this music but somehow i dont think they are too concerned with what othersthink to troll boards. too busy making white people dance i guess.
Jon E. Rock is the shit.
Unequivocal joy… please keep spreading the love, the world needs U.S.E!!! Come and see us in Australia!
I threw up in my mouth a little
Love love it; my new fave pick-me-up song!
