It’s been a second since we heard from glitter pop specialists Scissor Sisters — they basically took 2011 off, it would seem — but over the weekend they dropped a memorable video for their new single “Shady Love,” which NME promises to be “the first pop stonker of 2012,” whatever the hell that means. The video not only features an ensemble cast of children acting out the song’s movements in a school play, but also fast-rising rapper/icon of “cool” Azealia Banks contributes vocals (this crossover into our little indie rock sphere isn’t really as strange as it looks). Oh, also, this song is huge. Check out the video after the jump.

The next thing I want to see acted out by children: David Comes To Life.

Maybe NME mispelled “stinker”?
Stonker = good
If you haven’t noticed that they did NOT took off 2011 but released their penultimate and stellar music video for their song “Invisible Light”, then you really missed a whole bunch of magnificence. http://vimeo.com/17871386?utm_campaign=avalon1982&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=am6_feedtweet
Damn, that video was actually released in 2010, but at the very end of that year. I was wrong and corban was right in a way.
