A couple weeks ago we heard Alan Palomo as Neon Indian making Au Revoir Simone’s “Another Likely Story” a little more psychedelic. This time around it’s the post-Professor Murder/Don Caballaro Brooklyn duo Tanlines putting their sunny mark on “Shadows.” Why all the Au Revoir remix action? The trio’s original tracks are so hushed, they’re basically providing outsiders with a blank canvas. Or at least one with enough space in which to mark an intrusion: Here, you get the original ARS vocals affixed to a shimmering, slowly percussive backdrop.

Very effective remix.. I like the 1980s torch song vibe.
