With its strings and upwardly arced twee-pop harmonies, “Get Better”‘s a pretty one. The track’s from Mates Kori Gardner and Jason Hammel’s forthcoming fifth album Re-Arrange Us. In the video, various people in animal masks ride scooters, drive, walk, etc., their way to a party. It’s familiar, though this clip has a more explosive ending. And we think there’s a moral in there’s somewhere, too. Or at least an angelic baby.
Re-Arrange Us is out 5/20 on Barsuk.

Quality song. Looks like something good will come out on Barsuk this year…
Gosh, I love MoS!
This is the sequel to the Bat For Lashes video for “What’s a Girl to Do” from last year, right? It sure could be…
Click on the “familiar” link above. We kinda thought so, too.

Like this song a lot. MP3 rip here: http://musicforants.com/blog/?p=649
Greta, I loved it!
interesting
When I saw the Bat for Lashes video, I thought it was at least partially an homage to Donnie Darko. The Mates of State video is… different. Definitely not as creepy.
Love the song. Can’t wait for this record.
