Damon Albarn, a man who has some experience making music with cartoon characters, has become the latest in a long line of artists who have tried their hand at remixing Lana Del Rey. Like Clams Casino and Woodkid before him, under the pseudonym PDP 13 Albarn has put together a version of LDR’s “Born To Die,” and his version is bass-heavy and six and a half minutes long. Give it a listen below.
Lana Del Rey’s album Born To Die is out 1/31 on Interscope.

You do remember that David Albarn is the guy behind the Gorillaz right?
chill god
YES! Thank you, Chad.
That line had to be probably the worst introduction to Damon Albarn in print, ever!
Oh, and Edgerton, it’s Damon, not David.
Oh nice, I didn’t notice I did that, thanks
LDR’s look is heavily influenced by Jessica Rabbit.
You mean the guy who was in the band Slur with Gary Coxon? That David Albarn?
Give him a second, he’s gonna back that up with some rationale.
Pretty sure the Gorillaz reference was being used as a way to take a shot at Del Rey…
I thought it was clever.
Maybe Tom was implying that LDR is a cartoon character herself?
this is preeeety DECE.
Needs some Bobby Womack out of nowhere.
damn you to hell, facebook connect
and thats a big NOPE
I liked this.
Funny thing is, if this was a Gorillaz or Damon Albarn track people would be drooling all over it.
I get what you’re saying, but sometimes (okay, most of the time) I wish Albarn would just sing some sad bastard tunes like “Out of Time” or the refrain in “Feel Good Inc” (windmill, windmill for the land…). His voice is perfect for that stuff.
actually kinda liked this.
daddy’s money buying you a Blur remix? is that true?
riiight, cuz she’s got Beastie Boy daddy money right? or Kid Rock daddy money? or john mayer…30 secs to mars douche…LMFAO’s rich daddy…should i go on? haha.
like it more than the actual song, but still just ok
also do you guys realized the album leaked..?
