The clip for Florence & The Machine’s anthemic wailer “Lover To Lover,” a track from their 2011 album Ceremonials, doesn’t use the heavily orchestrated album version of the song. Instead, it’s a stripped-down live clip. Florence Welch sings the song with only a keyboard, a guitar, and a harp backing her up. But all the song’s dynamics remain fully intact thanks to Florence’s human-bazooka vocal performance, which is quite a thing to witness. Watch it below.
Ceremonials is out now on Island/Universal Republic.

I can’t stand her. Not because the songs are bad (they have good hooks actually), but because she sings in 95% of the duration of each of her songs. There is no actual music in there to speak of, it’s just background noise to Florence’s voice — a voice which doesn’t leave anything to imagination.
What are you even talking about? How embarrasing.
This is amazing. Her voice is awesome.
