Fiona Apple back! Last month, we got the news that the great singer-songwriter would release a new album sometime this year. Last week, Pitchfork announced that she’s play at one of the site’s SXSW showcases. And now she’s announced a quick post-SXSW tour that mostly sticks to the East Coast and finds her in venues way smaller than the ones she could fill. If the Apple show I saw in 2005 is any indication, these will be pretty special. We’ve got the dates below.
3/15 – Austin, TX @ Central Presbyterian Church
3/19 – Chicago, IL @ Lincoln Hall
3/21 – Washington, DC @ Sixth & I Historic Synagogue
3/23 – Brooklyn, NY @ Music Hall Of Williamsburg
3/24 – Atlantic City, NJ @ Borgata Music Box
3/26 – New York, NY @ Bowery Ballroom
3/27 – Boston, MA @ Royale

knowing i will see fiona apple at a venue as small as lincoln hall seriously just made every day of my life perfect up and pretty far beyond march 19th
Maybe I’m just paranoid about getting tickets and overestimating her appeal in 2012, but Bowery Ballroom is not big enough to hold the crowd she can demand. Almost as ridiculous as Radiohead playing Roseland.
she’s great! i saw her “open” for Coldplay a few years back. great show!
no west coast? we are all not douches i swear!!!
Get those tickets quickly! As for me I’m pretty sure Lincoln Hall tickets will sell out in minutes considering it’s her only stop in the Midwest and I’ll probably miss out
Hm, good point! I normally hate paying the Ticketmaster fees, but it doesn’t look like there’s much choice (though a $6 fee for a $40 show seems lower than usual at least).
In other news: YES!
Can she please swing through Tulsa on the way to Chicago?
